So for those of you who like to read…let’s give a proper run down shall we?  From the top we’re more than ecstatic to be finalizing the formalities with PURRY COMMUNICATIONS GROUP.  Big things in store there and it has taken both PlanetZaya and PCG a lifetime of work to reach this partnership.  Look out for great things to come from this collaboration.  Another fresh start is coming from PZ and EM.  PlanetZaya and Epic Mindset.

To the small screen Jonathan Pascual is scripting a new reality television close to his heart.  Little detail can be revealed at the moment but let’s just say it involves celebrities and authentic conversation and viewpoint.  Not something common in L.A. but industry insiders are taking note as this Pascual brainchild is unlike anything ever seen before.

PlanetZaya has been spinning west side as of late and moving forward with yet another partnership.  Epic Mindset is a young marketing entity set on making the hip hipper…if that’s a word.  Under an “epic” collabo, PlanetZaya produced this spot for Epic and 944 Magazine for their client CB2 in Santa Monica.

Unfortunately PlanetZaya was not contracted for the shoot but with footage in hand we feel we provided a nice little launch for this 944 webisode on the redesign of their offices.

At PlanetZaya we are making big moves to ensure our presence within the marketing and high end video production space.  One of our newly established relationships has proudly begun with Purry Communications Group.  When these doors open we are exposed to new and exciting clients not unlike Chef Meg Hall.

Creating this piece for MEMPHIS became a self imposed challenge.  I was set on proving to myself that a marketing video could be produced in an economical and timely manner.  Our recipe is always, low budget, hi production, fast turnaround and exceptional storytelling.

I was able to shoot this piece in under an hour with a simple Flipcam.  Shot in the morning, online by the afternoon.  Surely this will rarely be the parameters under which we will work under.  Most clients would appreciate a Canon 7D over a Flipcam.  That being said, I count this a victory and proof that style and information can still be delivered with minimal resource.

The beauty in this event was its simplicity.  Two daughters seeking help to support their mother who is battling a long bout with cancer.  Many friends and family were in attendance at Sashi in Manhattan Beach.  Also in atttendance were Laker Luke Walton and tennis champion Maria Sharapova.

Personally this was a difficult shoot as I was alone.  I was giving back to the cause the best way that I knew how.  I had been shooting on a television pilot for a week straight and had just enough time to drive from Orange County to Manhattan Beach to get this project done.  I’m thankful I was able to make it and contribute my time.

Dig 4 Kids’ mission to enrich children mind, body and spirit is never more realized than during its annual DAY AT THE BEACH.  The day marks a shining example where corporate and nonprofit come together to give back to their communites.  Local Boys & Girls Club children benefit from the D4K staff and sponsors such as LA84, Wells Fargo, Spaulding, Baycap and Chevron.

2010 was the second year that PlanetZaya covered this event.  We decided to tell the story from the point of view of the children that benefit from this program.  They leave no doubt how essential a simple effort and vision such as a day trip to the sand and surf can impact young lives.
